American stage and film actor known for The Grapes of Wrath, Mister Roberts, and his Oscar-winning role in On Golden Pond.
Henry Fonda was an American actor born in Grand Island, Nebraska. He started acting at the Omaha Community Playhouse in 1925 and soon found work on Broadway. His stage success in The Farmer Takes a Wife (1934) led to the film version and a long Hollywood career of more than 80 movies. He played Abraham Lincoln in Young Mr. Lincoln, Tom Joad in The Grapes of Wrath, and Wyatt Earp in My Darling Clementine. He won a Tony Award for Mister Roberts on stage and an Academy Award for On Golden Pond (1981), in which he acted with his daughter Jane Fonda. He also received Kennedy Center Honors.

American pop and R&B superstar behind the hit albums Control and Rhythm Nation 1814, and a Rock and Roll Hall of Famer.
Janet Jackson is an American singer, songwriter, and actress from Gary, Indiana. She is the youngest of nine children in the famous Jackson family, which includes her brother Michael Jackson. As a teenager she acted on TV shows such as Good Times, Diff'rent Strokes, and Fame. Her 1986 album Control, made with producers Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, was her breakthrough, and Rhythm Nation 1814 (1989) followed with a strong social message and many hit singles. Later albums include janet., The Velvet Rope, and Unbreakable. She has also starred in films like Poetic Justice. In 2019 she was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

American statesman who served as Secretary of State under Lincoln and Johnson and arranged the 1867 purchase of Alaska.
William H. Seward was an American politician born in Florida, New York. After graduating from Union College, he studied law and joined a law practice in Auburn, New York. He served in the New York State Senate, as governor of New York, and as a U.S. senator. A strong opponent of slavery, he moved from the Anti-Masonic and Whig parties to the new Republican Party. He was a leading candidate for the 1860 Republican presidential nomination, which went to Abraham Lincoln. Seward then served as Secretary of State from 1861 to 1869, working to keep foreign nations from recognizing the Confederacy. In 1867 he arranged the purchase of Alaska from Russia, once mocked as "Seward's Folly."
