English actor known for his wide range, who won an Academy Award for playing Winston Churchill in Darkest Hour.
Gary Oldman is an English actor born in London and trained at Rose Bruford College, where he graduated in 1979. He began in theater before breaking through on film in Sid and Nancy in 1986. Known for transforming himself for each part, he has played heroes and villains alike in movies such as JFK, Bram Stoker's Dracula, Léon: The Professional, and The Fifth Element. Younger audiences know him as Sirius Black in the Harry Potter films and as Commissioner James Gordon in the Batman trilogy. His role as Winston Churchill in Darkest Hour won him the Academy Award and the Golden Globe for best actor. He also stars as spy boss Jackson Lamb in the TV series Slow Horses.

Mexican president and reform leader of Zapotec heritage, honored as a national hero for defending the republic against French intervention.
Benito Juárez was a Mexican lawyer and statesman of Zapotec Indian heritage, born in San Pablo Guelatao in the state of Oaxaca. Rising from humble beginnings, he first trained for the priesthood but turned to law and politics. He served as governor of Oaxaca and became a leader of La Reforma, a liberal political and social movement, which included the reform law known as the Ley Juárez. He headed the Supreme Court in 1857 and was elected president in 1861, later winning reelection twice. From 1864 to 1867 he resisted the French-backed rule of Emperor Maximilian, and in 1867 he restored the republic. Mexico honors him as a national hero.

Ayrton Senna

Brazilian racing driver who won three Formula One world championships with McLaren and earned 41 Grand Prix victories.
Ayrton Senna was a Brazilian racing driver from São Paulo. He started in go-karts as a teenager, winning the South American karting championship and finishing second twice at the Karting World Championship. He entered Formula One in 1984 with Toleman, then drove for Lotus from 1985 to 1987 before joining McLaren in 1988. With McLaren he won the world championship in 1988, 1990, and 1991, becoming the youngest three-time champion at that point. Over his career he earned 41 race wins and 65 pole positions. He was deeply admired in Brazil, and his sister founded the Instituto Ayrton Senna to create opportunities for children in poor communities. He entered the Motorsports Hall of Fame in 2000.
