Woodrow Wilson
Born December 28, 1856
28th president of the United States, who led the nation through World War I and proposed the League of Nations.
Woodrow Wilson was the 28th president of the United States, serving from 1913 to 1921. Born in Staunton, Virginia, the son of a Presbyterian minister, he earned a doctorate at Johns Hopkins University and later became president of Princeton University. He entered politics as governor of New Jersey in 1910. As president, he pushed progressive reforms, including the Underwood tariff with a graduated income tax, the Federal Reserve Act, and the Federal Trade Commission, along with laws on child labor and an eight-hour day for railroad workers. In April 1917 he asked Congress to declare war on Germany. His Fourteen Points called for a League of Nations, though the Senate did not approve the Versailles Treaty.

American comic book writer and editor who co-created Spider-Man, the X-Men, and many other Marvel heroes.
Stan Lee, born Stanley Martin Lieber in New York City, was the writer and editor who shaped Marvel Comics. He started as an office assistant at Timely Comics in 1939. In 1961 he and artist Jack Kirby created the Fantastic Four, and with collaborators such as Kirby and Steve Ditko he went on to help launch Spider-Man, the Hulk, Thor, the X-Men, the Avengers, Daredevil, and Doctor Strange.
