Roger Miller

Witty American country singer-songwriter known for "King of the Road" and the Tony-winning score of Big River.
Roger Miller was an American country singer and songwriter born in Fort Worth, Texas, and raised on a farm in Erick, Oklahoma, where he learned fiddle, banjo, and guitar. After serving in the Army, he moved to Nashville in 1957 and wrote songs recorded by stars such as Ray Price and Jim Reeves. His own career took off in 1964 with "Dang Me," which reached No. 1 on the country chart, and "King of the Road" became his signature hit. He won eleven Grammy Awards for his 1964 and 1965 work. Miller later wrote the score for Big River, a Broadway musical based on Huckleberry Finn, earning a Tony Award in 1985. He joined the Country Music Hall of Fame in 1995.

Edgar Martínez

Hall of Fame designated hitter who spent his whole career with the Seattle Mariners and won two batting titles.
Edgar Martínez is a retired American baseball player who was born in New York and raised by his grandparents in Dorado, Puerto Rico. He signed with the Seattle Mariners in 1982 and played his entire major league career with the team from 1987 to 2004. Known as a patient, disciplined hitter, he won American League batting titles in 1992 and 1995 and led the league with 145 runs batted in in 2000. His 11th-inning double in Game 5 of the 1995 Division Series beat the Yankees and sent Seattle to its first ALCS. Baseball's award for the top designated hitter was renamed in his honor in 2004, and he was elected to the Hall of Fame in 2019.

Jack Hanna is an American zookeeper and television personality from Knoxville, Tennessee, who grew up on a farm and graduated from Muskingum College in Ohio. He became director of the Columbus Zoo in 1978 and led it until 1992, expanding its education programs and improving its animal habitats. He then served as director emeritus until he retired at the end of 2020. Hanna became a familiar face on TV through frequent visits to Late Night with David Letterman and through his own series, including Jack Hanna's Animal Adventures, Jack Hanna's Into the Wild, and Jack Hanna's Wild Countdown. He has written several books, including Jungle Jack: My Wild Life.
