Vincent van Gogh
Born March 30, 1853
Dutch Post-Impressionist painter famous for bold colors, energetic brushwork, and sunlit scenes of southern France.
Vincent van Gogh was a Dutch painter born in Groot-Zundert, the Netherlands, the son of a pastor. He tried several careers, including working for an art dealer, before deciding to become an artist around age 27. In 1886 he moved to Paris to live with his brother Theo, an art dealer who supported him for years, and his work grew brighter and more daring. In 1888 he went to Arles in southern France, where he painted glowing fields and flowers. In about ten years he produced more than 800 oil paintings and 700 drawings. He is counted among the leading Post-Impressionists, and his style strongly influenced later Expressionist art.

Celine Dion
Born March 30, 1968
Canadian singer known for powerful ballads, including "My Heart Will Go On" from the film Titanic.
Celine Dion is a Canadian singer born in Charlemagne, Quebec, the youngest of 14 children. At age 12 she recorded a song she wrote with her mother and brother, and manager René Angélil, who later became her husband, guided her career. She began her career singing in French, won the Eurovision Song Contest in 1988, and released her first English-language album, Unison, in 1990. Her duet "Beauty and the Beast" won Grammy and Academy Awards, and "My Heart Will Go On," the theme from Titanic (1997), became her signature song. Her French album D'eux sold millions, and her Las Vegas show A New Day... ran for nearly five years at Caesars Palace.
