Chuck Berry
Born October 18, 1926
American guitarist, singer, and songwriter whose hits like "Johnny B. Goode" helped define rock and roll.
Chuck Berry was an American singer, guitarist, and songwriter from St. Louis, Missouri, and one of the founding figures of rock and roll. Born Charles Edward Anderson Berry, he mixed rhythm and blues with energetic, guitar-driven rock to create a sound that shaped popular music for decades. His best-known recordings include "Maybellene," "Roll Over Beethoven," and "Johnny B. Goode." Through the 1950s, 1960s, and 1970s he was among the most popular and influential performers in R&B and rock, and countless later musicians learned from his songs and guitar playing. In 1986 he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and in 2000 he received the Kennedy Center Honors.

Born October 18, 1927
American actor famous for playing General George S. Patton in the 1970 film Patton.
George C. Scott was an American actor born in Wise, Virginia, known for his powerful and intense performances. He first drew attention on stage in a 1957 New York production of Richard III, then went on to Broadway plays such as Uncle Vanya and Death of a Salesman. In films he earned praise in Anatomy of a Murder and The Hustler, and he played the excitable Gen. Buck Turgidson in Dr. Strangelove. His most famous role was the World War II general in Patton (1970), which won him an Academy Award, though he had refused the nomination because he felt competition between actors harmed the profession. He also appeared in many television productions, including Jane Eyre and 12 Angry Men.
