Eleanor Roosevelt
Born October 11, 1884
American First Lady, writer, and diplomat who championed human rights and helped shape the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
Eleanor Roosevelt was born in New York City and was a niece of President Theodore Roosevelt. In 1905 she married Franklin D. Roosevelt, and she served as First Lady from 1933 to 1945. She changed the role by holding her own press conferences for women reporters, traveling the country as her husband's "eyes and ears," and writing a daily newspaper column called "My Day." She spoke up for civil rights, women's equality, and better housing and child welfare. In 1945 President Truman named her a delegate to the United Nations, where she chaired the Commission on Human Rights and played a central role in creating the Universal Declaration of Human Rights in 1948. In 1961 President Kennedy asked her to chair the Commission on the Status of Women.

Henry J. Heinz
Born October 11, 1844
American food manufacturer who founded the H.J. Heinz Company, famous for its ketchup and "57 Varieties" slogan.
Henry John Heinz was an American businessman from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He showed a talent for business early: by age 16 he had workers helping him grow vegetables and deliver them to local grocers. In 1869 he and two partners began making horseradish, pickles, sauerkraut, and vinegar. That first company did not survive the financial panic of 1875, but a year later he started again in Pittsburgh with his brother and cousin. The new business introduced its famous ketchup in 1876. In 1896 he came up with the "57 Varieties" slogan, even though the company already sold more than 60 products. The firm became the H.J. Heinz Company in 1905 and by 1919 had about 25 factories and more than 6,000 workers.

In Super Bowl XXIX he threw six touchdown passes in a 49-26 win over the San Diego Chargers and was named the game's MVP.
