What happened in the 400s BC?
In the 400s BC (409–400 BC), Athens surrendered to Sparta, ending the Peloponnesian War, and in China the Zhou recognized Han, Zhao, and Wei as feudal lords as the Warring States period began. Some research places the start of Japan's Middle Yayoi period here, and in Mesoamerica the Olmec civilization came to an end.
