Cher, born Cherilyn Sarkisian in El Centro, California, is an American singer and actress. With her husband Sonny Bono she recorded the 1965 hit "I Got You Babe," which sold more than three million copies, and the pair later starred in The Sonny and Cher Comedy Hour on TV. As a solo artist she reached number one with songs like "Gypsys, Tramps & Thieves" and "Dark Lady." Her 1998 dance hit "Believe" won a Grammy and was the first hit song to use Auto-Tune. On screen, she won the Academy Award for Best Actress for Moonstruck. She was honored by the Kennedy Center in 2018 and entered the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2024.

James Stewart, often called Jimmy, was an American movie actor from Indiana, Pennsylvania. He earned an architecture degree from Princeton University in 1932 before turning to acting. Audiences loved his slow, hesitant way of speaking and the shy but principled characters he played. He became a star in Mr. Smith Goes to Washington and won an Academy Award for The Philadelphia Story. His later films included It's a Wonderful Life, Harvey, Rear Window, Vertigo, and Anatomy of a Murder. During World War II he flew bomber missions in the Army Air Corps and rose to colonel, later becoming a brigadier general in the reserves. He received an honorary Oscar and the Presidential Medal of Freedom.

William Redington Hewlett
Born May 20, 1913
American engineer who co-founded Hewlett-Packard with David Packard in a Palo Alto garage, helping launch Silicon Valley's tech industry.
William "Bill" Hewlett was an American engineer and business leader born in Ann Arbor, Michigan. He studied at Stanford University and earned a master's degree from MIT. With his Stanford classmate David Packard and just $538, he started an electronics business in a Palo Alto garage, formally founding Hewlett-Packard in 1939. Their first product was an audio oscillator based on Hewlett's own design, and Disney bought some for the film Fantasia. Hewlett later served as HP's president and chief executive, as the company introduced products like the HP-35 pocket calculator. In 1966 he and his wife Flora created the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation, which supports education, the arts, and the environment.
