Harry S. Truman

33rd president of the United States, who led the nation at the end of World War II and into the Cold War.
Harry S. Truman was the 33rd president of the United States, serving from 1945 to 1953. Born in Lamar, Missouri, he served as an officer in World War I and later became a county judge in Missouri. Elected to the U.S. Senate in 1934, he led a committee that investigated waste in wartime spending. He became vice president in 1945 and took over the presidency in April of that year when Franklin D. Roosevelt died. As president, he announced the Truman Doctrine, backed the Marshall Plan to rebuild Europe, ordered the desegregation of the armed forces, and helped form NATO in 1949. He won a full term in 1948, defeating Thomas Dewey, and later returned home to Independence, Missouri.

David Attenborough is a British broadcaster and naturalist whose nature programs have shown audiences around the world the variety of life on Earth. Born in London, he studied natural sciences at Cambridge and joined the BBC in 1952. Two years later he helped create Zoo Quest, which filmed animals in the wild. He later ran the BBC2 channel and served as the BBC's director of programmes. Since the landmark series Life on Earth in 1979, he has written and presented many acclaimed series, including The Living Planet, The Life of Birds, The Blue Planet, Blue Planet II, and Our Planet. He was knighted in 1985. His older brother was the actor and filmmaker Richard Attenborough.

Enrique Iglesias is a Spanish singer and songwriter who became one of the leading stars of Latin pop. Born in Madrid, he is the son of the popular singer Julio Iglesias and grew up in Miami. His self-titled debut album came out in 1995, and he won a Grammy Award for Best Latin Performer the next year. In 1999 his song Bailamos, featured in the film Wild Wild West, reached No. 1 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100, and Be With You topped the chart in 2000. His album Escape included the hit ballad Hero. His 2014 song Bailando became a huge Spanish-language success. He has sold more than 100 million records worldwide.
