British actress who won Academy Awards for playing Scarlett O'Hara in Gone with the Wind and Blanche DuBois in A Streetcar Named Desire.
Vivien Leigh, born Vivian Mary Hartley in Darjeeling, India, was a British actress who was educated in Europe. She became world famous as Scarlett O'Hara in Gone with the Wind (1939), a role that earned her the Academy Award for Best Actress. In 1949 she played Blanche DuBois in A Streetcar Named Desire at London's Aldwych Theatre, winning praise from playwright Tennessee Williams, and she repeated the part in the 1951 film, which brought her a second Best Actress Oscar. Her other films included Waterloo Bridge, That Hamilton Woman, Anna Karenina, and Ship of Fools. Married to actor Laurence Olivier from 1940, she often acted alongside him on stage and screen, and audiences on their tours welcomed the pair with great excitement.

Art Garfunkel is an American singer from Forest Hills, New York, who began recording his own voice on a tape recorder as a small child. In sixth grade he appeared in a school play with classmate Paul Simon. The two first performed together as Tom and Jerry before taking the name Simon & Garfunkel in 1962. The duo released the albums Sounds of Silence, Parsley, Sage, Rosemary and Thyme, Bookends, and Bridge Over Troubled Water, and their song "Mrs. Robinson" from The Graduate reached No. 1. They won six Grammy Awards before splitting in 1970, later reuniting for several tours. Garfunkel went on to record solo albums such as Angel Clare and Watermark, acted in the film Carnal Knowledge, and has walked across Japan and the United States.

American basketball Hall of Famer who starred at UCLA, won NBA titles with Portland and Boston, and became a popular TV broadcaster.
Bill Walton was an American basketball center from La Mesa, California. At Helix High School his team won two straight state titles. He then played for coach John Wooden at UCLA, where he was named NCAA Player of the Year three times and was part of an NCAA-record 88-game winning streak. In the NBA he led the Portland Trail Blazers to the 1977 championship, earning playoff MVP honors, and he was named league MVP in 1978. Later, with the Boston Celtics, he won the 1986 title and the Sixth Man Award. He entered the Basketball Hall of Fame in 1993. Starting in 1990 he worked as a TV commentator for networks including NBC, ESPN, and ABC, winning an Emmy in 2001.
