What happened in the 2010s?
In the 2010s (2010–2019), the Arab Spring spread after political upheaval in Tunisia, and Japan suffered the Great East Japan Earthquake and the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear accident. Russia annexed Crimea, the Paris Agreement was adopted, Britain began negotiations to leave the EU, and in 2019 Japan's Reiwa era began.
